I was always that geeky kid who sat in the front of the class and considered myself a failure if I didn't set the curve. Old habits die hard. I know art isn't a competition, but that's how I approach it some days. MUST. QUIT. THAT. and just have fun with it. Sigh.

the artist's model running is so great! I have more than one of these and have never thought them to be really much help in figure drawing--just ornaments that say I am an artist. so that's why the room looks like it does.

Winna - I bought Running Man decades ago for a decorative doodad because he was unique and bright, fire engine red. I've never used him as a model.

Hummm...not a bad idea. What a concept.

I can so identify with your comment about wanting perfect drawings! I heard from someone once that there moto is "Striving for imperfection" and ever since then it has become mine. I would be happy to share it with you :-). It is pretty freeing to just have fun drawing and painting.
The drawing is very good, though!!
