Banished from Speckville

We don't get to have tasty, greasy foods anymore. The doctor told Hubby to knock it off with the double-meat cheeseburger and french fry fetish.

Nothing but healthy and bland for us from now on. Not that I mind all that much; I really don't like greasy stuff anyway. More steamed veggies for me! Yay!

Hubby is not amused.

Phone Doodle

I was testing out a 1.5 mm calligraphy nib on some really nice, slick printer paper. Decided after filling a half-sheet with the writing, the 1.5 was not going to suit me as an everyday writing nib. I would have to write much larger than is comfortable to make the letters legible. It would get relegated to the specialty lettering pen box. Well, duh, it's a calligraphy nib after all.

Just then the phone rang and I launched into a marathon phone call. While I was talking I started doodling on the writing sample with the pen. In a few minutes I was very much liking the results. Wow! The 1.5 will make very thin line as well as extremely thick lines. It's kinda like a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen in steel. Woot!

This revelation opened up a whole new avenue of sketching style possibilities. I like it; I like it a lot!
