Meager Supper

Phooey. The scanner won't pick up any of the grays in this. All the shadows look kind of a dirty sandy brown color. Sigh.

Imagine a nice, crisp gray on the inside of the bowl, along the bottom of the bowl, and around the top of the can. The red and gray color combination works much better than red and sand. Sigh.

I have trouble with some of the lighter colors showing up under a scan too. To solve it I go in to the tools area after saying I want a scan (every scanner is different so I can't say exactly but it's bound to have something) and I change the highlights to a -10 and the mid-tones to a -7 so they are darker. I leave the dark tones alone. Then I go to color saturation and increase it by the number 7 (I think it's 7%). This seems to do well on mine. Tinker with those buttons a bit and you'll probably find those lost grays.

Also, why don't you run the soup through the blender before heating it. Then you can enjoy the whole thing! I like this soup too but I don't mind the beans.
